“The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” is an English sentence that contains all letters of the alphabet. It is a sentence that was used often to test typewriters. Since my father (and grandfather) were running a typewriter shop it was a quite familiar sentence in our family.

This example is typed on a Corona number 5. The model itself dates back to 1912, but this typewriter was produced around 1928. I have not used it for quite some time and while typing holes appeared in the ribbon 🙂
